Day 1: Tangier - Rif Mountains - Chefchaouen (The Blue City)
To begin your 10-day trip through Morocco from Tangier to Marrakech toward Chefchaouen, you will meet your guide at the port or the airport. You will pass through the Rif Mountains on your journey and take in the breathtaking vistas that this mountain range has to offer.When we arrive in Chefchaouen, you will have the afternoon free to explore this lovely blue and white city. You will then spend the night at a local riad or hotel.
Day 2: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
We will drive to Volubilis, an archaeological site with the best-preserved Roman remains in this region of northern Africa, today after leaving for Fez in the morning through a number of communities in the Rif mountains. Volubilis has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1997.As we go to Meknes, we stop by the renowned Bab el-Mansour and Moulay Ismail Tombs. Following lunch, we’ll travel to Fes. We’ll spend the night in a neighbourhood Riad in the Medina.
Day 3: A Full Day To Visit Fes
We shall tour Morocco’s oldest city today. We will stroll through its narrow streets and back lanes as we explore locations like the Jewish headquarters and the Royal Palace gate.We will go to the well-known and oldest university in the area, Al Karaouine, as well as the tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. We spend the night in the medina here.
Day 4: Fes - Ifrane -Azrou - Medilt - Middle Atlas - Zaiz Valley - Merzouga
The most of the morning will be spent admiring the picturesque forests, craggy rock faces, and Berber settlements as we cross the Middle Atlas Mountains. Today we pass via Ifrane, a winter ski resort constructed by the French in the 1930s to mimic a Swiss village.We next make a lunch stop at the town of Midelt, which is well-known for its fossils and apples, before continuing on to Merzouga through the Ziz Valley and Erfoud, the centre of the date industry. We arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon and spend the night in a nearby hotel close to the dunes.
Day 5: Full in Merzouga (Visit the Nomads, Berber Villages + Camel trek & Night in desert)
Continuing our 10-day tour to Morocco from Tangier, you’ll start your explorations after a sumptuous breakfast. You’ll be going to the Gnawa village of Khamlia to meet the Gnawa people and learn about their way of life and music.Following that, we’ll take a journey into the Sahara Desert where we can see nomad communities who are still residing in Berber tents constructed from the wool of their animals.Today, we will eat a typical local dish (Berber pizza) for lunch before returning to our hotel, where your camel will be ready for you and will be led by a knowledgeable camel guy.
Dinner will be served at the camp where you will spend the night, in the centre of the tallest sand dunes, where you can enjoy the sunset and the stars. The camel ride takes approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
Day 6: Merzouga - Rissani - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley
The nicest sunrise of your life may be waiting for you when your camel guy wakes you up early in the morning, after which you will calmly ride your camel back to the hamlet.You can’t help but notice the amazing Erg Chebbi dunes’ distinctive beauty as you drive because it changes with the light throughout the day. You will go for the tallest, smallest gorges in Morocco—the Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra gorges—after breakfast and a shower in the riad.We’ll drive into the Dades Valley after lunch in the valley, where you can see the magnificent sand castles and the remarkable rock formations known as “monkey toes.” Dinner and breakfast are included when staying the night at our conventional inn.
Day 7: Dades Valley - Skoura - Ouarzazate - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou
You will travel through the Dades Valley to reach Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate after breakfast at the hotel. The route through Dades Valley is known as the Way of the Thousand Kasbahs and offers many chances to capture some of your best travel photography.Today, you will have the chance to visit Berber Nomads in their caves and then take in the beautiful rock formations and lush Rose Valley. We’ll make a detour in the “rose city,” Kalaat M’gouna, to buy rosewater, which will leave your linen smelling fresh for a long time after your trip is done.After visiting the Kasbah Amridil, a well-preserved kasbah in this region, you’ll continue on to Skoura and the Bird’s Valley. Then, we’ll spend the afternoon in Ouarzazate, known as “the Hollywood of Africa”, before we head towards Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou where we will spend the night.
Day 8: Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
One of Morocco’s four imperial towns, Marrakech, is where we’ll be heading today. We’ll visit the historic Kasbah at At Ben Haddou on the way to Marrakech (UNESCO as world heritage).We’ll then carry on to Marrakech. We shall pass the highest road pass in North Africa on our route there. The afternoon will find us in Marrakech.
Day 9: Full day to visit Marrakech
Around 9:00 am today, your local guide will visit your hotel or riad to begin visiting Marrakech’s top attractions, including the Koutoubia mosque, the Saadian tombs, El Bahia Palace, Djemaa el Fna square, and its souk.We’ll drive you to Majorelle Garden after lunch, and then we’ll return you to your hotel.
Day 10: Marrakech - Airport
Depending on the time of your flight today, you will be taken to the airport to catch your flight.
