Day 1 : Marrakech - High Atlas mountains - Telouat Kasbah - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Ouarzazate
The eight-day Morocco desert excursion begins with an early pick-up from the airport or your Marrakech lodging. Then take a drive across the spectacular Tizi-N-Tichka pass and High Atlas highlands. There will be pauses for panoramic views of the magnificent vistas. Then we go to Telouat’s Kasbah.We next move on to Ait Ben Haddou’s renowned Kasbah. a town with defences designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The Kasbah has also been featured in a number of films, such as Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, etc. as well as TV shows like Game of Thrones. Next, we travel to Ouarzazate, well known as “The Gate of the Desert.” Dinner and a hotel stay the following day.
Day 2: Ouarzazate - palm groves of Skoura - Amridil Kasbah - Rose valley-Dades Valley
After breakfast, we explore the city of Ouarzazate. Firstly, we visit the Atlas studios, where various famous movies were shot, and also visit the Taourirt Kasbah -A fortified mud castle, and one of the most ancient and spectacular Ksars in Morocco. After that we drive east to visit Amridil Kasbah surrounded by palm groves in Skoura. Then continue to Kalaa Magouna famous for the Rose valley. A Rose Festival is held annually in May, where the locals offer their rose products, from: perfumes, rose water, oil, to cosmetic products. Then we drive to Dades valley through Boumalne Dades. Inevitable stops at the “monkey fingers” rock formation, and on a spot atop a mountain overlooking the Dades valley. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Boumalne Dades.
Day 3: Boumaine Dades - Todra Gorges -Erfoud -Merzouga Sahara - Desert Camp
We continue to Todra Gorges after breakfast. The Todra River’s journey through the mountains hollowed out a huge canyon, creating a high red cliff-sided gorge. You are welcome to explore the gorges and take in the scenery. the journey through Touroug and Tinjdad’s palm groves. Free time to stop for lunch en route. We arrive in Merzouga, a desert in the Sahara, in the late afternoon. Afterward, you ride camels across the sandy desert. On top of a tall dune, a stop will be made so that you may take in the spectacular sunset. then continue the trek to the camp. where you can dance around a campfire while listening to Berber drum music under a starry, open sky. Dinner and a night spent camping.
Day 4 : Explore Merzouga region - Nomads - Khamlia - Merzouga lake - Erg Chebbi - palm grove
We arrive in Merzouga, a desert in the Sahara, in the late afternoon. Afterward, you ride camels across the sandy desert. On top of a tall dune, a stop will be made so that you may take in the spectacular sunset. then proceed to the luxury camp in the desert. where you can dance around a campfire while listening to Berber drum music under a starry, open sky. Dinner and a night spent camping. In order to see the stunning sunrise in the middle of the desert, you must get up early in the morning. Availability for breakfast. After that, you ride camels back to Merzouga, where the driver is waiting. Your Morocco
desert tour includes a day-long exploration of the Merzouga region. There are so many amazing places in the area, including sand dunes, a wild lake, mines, fossil locations, and magnificent oasis. which are perfect locations for a wide range of outdoor activities. In Merzouga, we begin our tour by travelling off-road to a former eyeliner mine. Then, while inside their custom-made woven tent, we pay the nomads a visit. While sipping a cup of Berber tea, discover their way of life. Our next stop is the village of Khamlia, where you may take in performances of Gnaoua dancing and music. The majority of its residents are from sub-Saharan nations including Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Lunch on your own in a restaurant. We then go through a grove of palm trees. Then travel a short distance to witness Merzouga’s wild lake, also known as Flamingo Lake. Dinner and a hotel stay the next day.
Day 5: Merzouga Dunes - Erfoud - Midelt - cedars forest - Ifrane - Fes
After breakfast, we depart towards Rissani town, the former seat of Tafilalet, before returning to the desert. A sizable souk in Rissani, which is still a significant trading hub in the area, is active on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. A trip around the souk in Rissani is followed by a visit to one of the petrified marble workshops in Erfoud. Following that, we halt for a panoramic view of the Ziz valley as we travel along the Ziz River. Lunch time is unrestricted in Midelt. The Barbary Macaques dwell in the cedar forest, which is where we next go. While exploring the forest, feel free to give them food. Then we travel to Ifrane, sometimes referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco due to its alpine-style homes, snowy landscape, and low temperatures. Finally, we deliver you to your Fes lodging.
Day 6: Guided tour sightseeing Fes
After breakfast, we pick you up from your lodging in Fes so you can explore the city. The city is also the political, social, and cultural hub of Morocco. It is regarded as one of the imperial cities. We go to the Royal Palace gate to begin the day. Then there is the UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site of the well-preserved mediaeval Medina. The gateway to the old Medina is known as the Blue Gate or Bab Boujloud. A native guide will accompany you as you enter the Medina. to see the Quaraouin mosque and university, the oldest university in the world, the Najjarine fountain, the Tanneries, and the Medrasa Bouanania. After that, we depart from the Medina and visit “the Mellah,” the Jewish neighbourhood. The Medina and the city of Fes are then seen from atop a historic citadel, where we next travel. and then go back to your riad.
Day 7 : Fes - Meknes - Volubilis ruins - Chefchaouen
After breakfast, we travel to Meknes, the capital of the Ismailis and one of the imperial cities, for a visit. Bab AlMansour, the Sahrij Souani pond, the Royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum are among the places we stop by. Lunchtime free time. We then go 30 kilometres outside of Meknes to the ancient Roman remains at Volubilis. Given that UNESCO has designated it a World Heritage Site, it has been well kept. It also contains historic pillars and arches, as well as numerous lovely mosaics that are strewn throughout. We travel through Ouazzane to the north to reach Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains after exploring the ruins. Likewise called the Blue City. The city is renowned for its blue-painted structures and alleys. Spend the night in a hotel.
Day 8 : Transfer to the Tangier airport
Before we travel through the Rif Mountains to Tangier and transport you to the airport, you may have some free time after breakfast, depending on the time of your flight, to meander through the lovely alleyways of the Blue City. End of the 8-day trip to Morocco.
